Week of February 27, 2012 & March 5, 2012, Survival Kits

DIRECTION:

Get pen and paper ready
Watch the videos
For each video write down what they have in the survival kit
You will have a page for The Coffee Can
You will have a page for The Altoids Can
Both of these papers will be turned in.
Now....................
Compare and Contrast the cans
Divide a piece of notebook paper in half
Each colunm will have a heading
Coffee Can
Altoids
You will then write the things under each colunm
Note if there is a difference
EXAMPLE:
Coffee Can                                              Altoids
white candle                                            blue candle
duct tape                                                  no duct tape
10 feet if dental floss                            5 feet of dental floss

As you do this, think about what you would want in your survival kit.
We WILL BE making a kit. Therefore, I hope that you have a container that you can use.
Possible containers would be:
pringles can
coffee can
nuts trail mix can
altoids tin
small metal box
As a group we will discuss and plan what ya'll will put in your survival kit.

Week of February 20, 2012, Monsters in Mythology

DIRECTIONS:

Get out paper and pencil
Watch the video
As you watch the video write down the monsters in the video
Write a description of the monster
As you watch the video write down what each monster could do
As you waatch the video write down where each monster lived

Now..............
Get a piece of paper
Divide the paper into 4 sections
Section 1..........................write the name of the monster
Section 2..........................write down what the monster looked like
Section 3.........................write down what the monster could do   (YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO GOOGLE FOR THIS INFORMATION)
Section 4........................write down where the monster lived (The video should provide the info but you also might need to get the info from google)
